It focuses on supporting our people to know who they are, where they come from, and how they are connected to each other and to place.
This includes strengthening whakapapa, cultural identity, tikanga, and the unique ways of being Tūwharetoa.
This pathway is about kaitiakitanga, or guardianship.
Ngāti Tūwharetoa are kaitiaki of our taonga, including Taupō Moana, awa, and whenua. This means we have a responsibility to care for, protect, and manage these taonga in a way that reflects our values and supports future generations.
This pathway is about helping our people thrive.
It focuses on building, delivering, and supporting initiatives that provide sustenance, resilience, and wellbeing for Ngāti Tūwharetoa whānau, hapū, marae, and iwi.
This could include practical support, grants, programmes, partnerships, and other initiatives that contribute to the wellbeing of our people.
