Secondary NCEA Education Grant

This NCEA Education Grant is designed to support and promote academic success for tribal members as the future leaders of their whānau, their marae and their iwi.

Criteria and details are as follows:

1. Secondary NCEA education grants support students enrolled in NCEA completing Year 11, 12 and 13 who are studying at least two (2) NCEA subjects.
2. Education grants are available to registered members who reside in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
3. The grant will contribute to school-related costs as decided by the parent/caregiver.
4. Applicants must provide confirmation of their NCEA enrolment and a copy of previous years academic results.
5. On completion, all grant recipients must provide the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board with a verified copy of their NCEA results.
6. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
7. If an applicant withdraws from their course or subjects prior to or after receiving the grant, they must notify the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board. If this does not occur, an applicant may not be eligible for further grants.
8. Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board has the sole discretion to accept or decline any application.
9. Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board reserves the right to use a successful applicants name and other details for publicity and promotion purposes.
10. Applications will be processed from February to March.
11. Payments will be made in May.
